On April 14th, Rachel Qin, the Executive President of the World Olymp’Arts Council, who is "passing the scriptures and giving treasures" in France and conveying the concept of "connecting the world with art", was invited to meet with Xu Bo, the chairman of the French Association of Friends of Wu Jianmin and former diplomat of the Chinese Embassy in France.
Rachel Qin and Xu Bo had a warm and in-depth exchange on the current work plans of the World Olymp'Arts Council and the French Association of Friends of Wu Jianmin and found that both sides have shared ideas, visions, and actions, whether it is short-term plans or future long-term plans. The two sides reached a lot of cooperation consensus on the scene, and there will be many interactions between the two parties.
The friendship between China and France has a long history. The people of the two countries admire each other's cultures. The exchanges in the fields of economy, culture, art and education are remarkable. In the post-epidemic era, the most urgent task of promoting comprehensive cooperation between China and France in various fields is to allow the people of the two countries to move in both directions.
Co-hosted by the World Olymp’Arts Council and the French Association of Friends of Wu Jianmin, the "Reunion" Sino-French Tourism Summit will be held in Neuilly, France, and is supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Embassy in France, the French Tourist Office, the French National Tourist Office, and the China National Tourism Administration.
Former French Prime Minister Raffarin, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye, Mayor of Neuilly Fu Mandan, The Founding President of the World Olymp’Arts Council, Marc Verriere, and t the President of the Advisory Committee of the World Olymp’Arts Council Mr. Michele Genovese and others will attend the summit. Rachel Qin will discuss the 2024 Paris Olympics and the post-epidemic relationship between the Chinese and French people with Guo Jingjing from the Hong Kong Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange Foundation.
From September 14th to 24th, the annual exhibition of the French Association of Friends of Wu Jianmin will be held, and the Olymp’Arts 2023 will be launched in October. The two parties will strengthen cooperation to make the concept of "connecting the world with art" more deeply rooted in people’s minds.
The environment, climate, and energy issues are currently significant global challenges concerning the international community's interests and the earth's future. Compared with the world 20 or 3 years ago, our planet has undergone profound changes. Conflict, confrontation, and division have become the essential background of current international relations. The two sides had a dialogue concerning humankind and the earth's future.
Rachel Qin said that the motto of the OLYMP'ARTS is "Beauty will save the world". With the theme of "Environment, Climate and Energy," participants can express concern for the environment, climate, and energy issues and humankind's destiny from an artist's perspective. The Olymp'Arts 2023 allows participating artists to represent the values of all humanity: universality, aesthetics, non-violence and harmony.
Xu Bo believes that the strong desire of human beings for a better life has not changed because of the changes of the times. The more complicated the time is, the more we must rebuild mutual trust with the world.
A consensus was thus reached, and both sides believed that connecting the world through art is a critical path to solving environmental, climate, and energy issues, as well as other topics.
Ultimately, Rachel Qin invited Mr. Xu Bo to join the World Olymp'Arts Council and become an Academic Experts' Committee member.
In the face of the ever-changing world pattern and the ever-changing trends of the times, how human society can develop soundly and how human beings can meet the future full of opportunities and challenges are the propositions that everyone should pay attention to.
Art is an integral part of human culture. In the new era of significant changes, thinking about the relationship between art and the future of humankind is the best way to reflect on history, examine reality, and look forward to the future.
Olymp'Arts 2023 is an opportunity to give birth to new propositions and perspectives for observing and studying art. Olymp'Arts 2023 has a sense of the times, mission, and responsibility and will build a platform for artists and art institutions. It will find an effective way to jointly explore and answer the "Question of the Times" between art and the future of humankind.
