Mission and Vision:
- The WOAC Educational Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “the Alliance”) aims to promote cooperation and exchange among global art schools, colleges, institutions, and related organizations, providing a fair and equitable platform for young artists.
- The dream is to connect the world through art, using the power of culture and art to achieve global peace, unity, and prosperity.
Charter and Principles:
1. Membership Eligibility:
- Open to art schools, colleges, institutions, and organizations worldwide, regardless of their size or geographical location.
- Applicants must possess certain artistic educational qualifications and reputation to ensure the quality and sustainability of art education.
2. Cooperation and Exchange:
- Members will actively participate in cooperation and exchange activities in the field of art education, including student exchange programs, teacher training, research cooperation, etc.
- The Alliance will organize regular international conferences, seminars, and art festivals to provide a platform for members to share experiences and communicate.
3. Sustainable Development:
- Members will jointly explore and promote sustainable development in art education, including sustainability in artistic creation, cultural heritage, and social participation.
- The Alliance will support innovation and research to improve the quality and results of art education and promote the integration of art with society.
4. Cultural Diversity:
- The Alliance will actively promote cultural diversity and encourage member institutions to reflect different cultural values and traditions in their educational programs.
- The Alliance supports cross-cultural exchanges and cooperation to enrich the diversity and inclusiveness of art education.
5. Knowledge Sharing:
- Members will share educational resources, teaching materials, and educational practice results to promote knowledge sharing in the field of education.
- The Alliance will establish an online platform to provide a broader communication platform and multilateral cooperation opportunities for member institutions.
6. Fairness and Justice:
- The Alliance firmly opposes all forms of discrimination, prejudice, and unfair treatment, striving to create a fair and just environment for art education.
- The Alliance will develop and adhere to fair admission criteria, transparent scholarship mechanisms, and equitable assessment standards to ensure equal opportunities for young artists to develop and grow.
7. Management and Leadership:
- The Alliance will establish a leadership team and management institution responsible for its daily operations and development.
- The leadership team will be elected by the Executive Committee and representatives from WOAC offices in the countries of the institutions, ensuring the representativeness and legitimacy of the leaders.
8. Rules and Regulations:
- Members must comply with the basic principles and specific regulations of the alliance to ensure the smooth progress of cooperation and exchange.
- Non-compliant behaviors may lead to sanctions or temporary or permanent cancellation of membership.
9. Changes and Amendments:
- The charter and rules of the alliance can be changed and amended as needed, provided they receive the consent of the majority of member institutions.
10. Effective Date:
- The charter will take effect after approval and consent by the majority of member institutions, with the effective date being [July 11, 2023].
11. Termination and Dissolution:
- The Alliance may be dissolved based on the decision of the majority of member institutions (more than 2/3 votes), with prior notification to all member institutions and a determined dissolution date. The dissolution date will be determined by the alliance's leadership team and communicated to all member institutions.
- The WOAC Educational Alliance will actively promote cooperation and exchange in the field of art education, providing broader opportunities and resources for young artists globally to foster cultural and artistic prosperity. The alliance welcomes art schools and institutions from all over the world to join in realizing this dream.
1. Institutional Eligibility Requirements:
- 1.1 Category of Institutions: The Educational Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “the Alliance”) welcomes higher education institutions and organizations from around the world, including universities, specialized colleges, and art institutions.
- 1.2 Institutional Ranking: Eligibility can be determined in the following ways:
- a. Ranked within the top 100 of the global QS World University Rankings.
- b. Ranked within the top 10 in their respective country or region.
- 1.3 Field of Expertise: Institutions should have international renown and reputation in artistic achievements and cultural fields.
- 1.4 Faculty Strength: Institutions should have strong faculty, including professional professors and mentors in the field of arts.
2. Automatic Membership Eligibility:
- 2.1 Institutions ranked within the top 10 globally are automatically eligible for membership, with no need to submit an application.
- 2.2 Institutions can also automatically qualify if they:
- a. Rank in the top 3 within their country or region.
- b. Have arts, music, drama, dance, or related disciplines that are widely reputed internationally and rank within the top 10.
3. Membership Application Process:
- 3.1 Institutions can apply for membership as follows:
- a. Those with automatic eligibility need not apply.
- b. Other eligible institutions may submit an application to express their interest.
- 3.2 Applications will be reviewed and assessed by the OLYMP'ARTS Educational Alliance.
- 3.3 Institutions completing the application process will be awarded a certificate and a collaboration agreement by OLYMP'ARTS.
4. Adherence to Rules and Regulations:
- 4.1 Upon joining, institutions must comply with the alliance’s rules, statutes, and regulations to ensure smooth cooperation and uphold the alliance's reputation and mission.
- This includes adherence to values such as universality, beauty, aesthetic, harmony, and non-violence.
- Encouraging an inclusive, open, and respectful cultural atmosphere.
- Promoting international exchanges and cooperation, supporting art exchange projects for students and teachers.
- Advocating for diversity and sustainable development in arts and culture.
- Providing a fair and equitable art exchange platform, supporting inter-institutional collaboration.
- Actively participating in and supporting activities initiated by OLYMP'ARTS.
5. Membership Qualification Review:
- 5.1 Membership qualifications are assessed by the OLYMP'ARTS Educational Alliance to ensure institutions meet the entry requirements.
- This includes evaluations of teaching and research innovation, resources and facilities, social responsibility and sustainability, teaching quality and reputation, legal status and recognition, and international cooperation and exchange.
6. Membership Application Review Process:
- Institutions submit application materials including teaching plans, research projects, resource details, social responsibility reports, and academic reputation proof.
- The WOAC Educational Alliance members conduct a comprehensive assessment and review of the application materials.
7. Post-Admission Supervision:
- Institutions admitted into the alliance undergo regular monitoring and assessment to ensure they meet the alliance's criteria.
- Failure to meet requirements may result in corrective actions or suspension or cancellation of membership.
8. Effective Date of Membership:
- Determined based on the review and examination results, usually effective after the institution meets the membership conditions.
9. Consequences of Non-Compliance:
- Failure to adhere to the charter and rules of the alliance may lead to consequences, including temporary or permanent cancellation of membership and other disciplinary measures or legal responsibilities.
10. Dissolution and Termination of the Alliance:
- To be conducted according to the relevant provisions in the charter and rules.
