There are only 30 days away from the Opening Ceremony of OLYMP'ARTS 2023 at the Zappeion in Athens, Greece. Institutions and artists are invited to attend the Opening Ceremony, including the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations, the Royal College of Art (RCA) and many other organizations, as well as artists such as Yuan Xikun, the first “Patron for Arts and Environmental”of UNEP, Kees Van Oostrum, President of the American Society of Cinematographers, and Philippos Tsalahouri, Principal of Athens Conservatoire.
Recently OLYMP'ARTS 2023 specially planned a Holy Springcollection ceremony in Delphi, Greece, aiming to trace back the art event founded in 566 BC in Ancient Greece and connect it with today's OLYMP'ARTS.The holy water collected from Delphi was delivered by the priestess of Athens in Greece to six children from six continents - they were dressed in six different colors to fit the OLYMP'ARTS logo concept - who traveled to the continent they represented and joined the four oceans.Through the connection of water, OLYMP'ARTS interprets and sublimates its original intention of “Arts connect the world”.

Meanwhile, American director Derek Brown and his team have recorded the whole process of the Holy Spring collection ceremony in their videos, including the collection, the passing, and the melting into the ocean. Later, more artists from all over the world will join the filming programme, showing the ongoing creation of their own art and forming a documentary that truly embodies the spirit of OLYMP'ARTS. The documentary will be launched at the OLYMP'ARTS 2023 Opening Ceremony. From “Water connects the world” to “Arts connect the world”, this is a connectionbyboth time and space. We keep looking back and forward, with traceability and hope, expressing ourbest wishes for OLYMP'ARTS 2023.
It is especially worth mentioning that the Holy Spring Collection Vessel was jointly created by Gao Min, founder of the Beijing Starpower Charity Foundation, Olympic diving champion;Fan Minqi, a master of Chinese ceramic art, and Changxin Zhou, an oil painter and President of OLYMP'ARTS 2023 China. Regarding the creation of the vessel, she said, “The Olympic Games have a history of nearly 3,000 years, and the pottery firing in Jingdezhen has a history of more than 1,800 years, which is a historical fusion point.” At the same time, she believes that the relationship between sports competitions and artistic creation is very close, and it is a subtle fusion of health and beauty.
It is said that the Opening Ceremony of OLYMP'ARTS 2023 will also include a thematic exhibition, “RENEWAL: Journey through Time and Space”, where works of globally renowned artists such as Leng Jun, a representative painter of hyper-realism, will be engaged, and kinds of artistic disciplines will be exhibited together. The thematic forum will discuss the issues about art undertaking and development, as well as in-depth development of art + technology and other topics, where diversified artistic views willcome into collision . For more exciting content, please look forward to OLYMP'ARTS 2023 on 5 October 2023 at the Zappeion in Athens, Greece.
