The World Olymp’Arts Committee (WOAC) logo includes a six-star emblem and a founding logo, serving as important symbols of the organization's values and mission. The spirit of the OLYMP’ARTS resides within the design of the logo, which is simple yet deeply meaningful. It reflects WOAC's vision and mission of “Arts connect the world” and “Beauty will save the world.”
The OLYMP'ARTS logo consists of six stars, each displaying vibrant colors that represent the diverse world of art. These stars symbolize the harmonious differences among artists from six continents, reflecting the diversity and inclusivity of global art. The overall pyramid shape of the logo rises towards the sky, signifying the elevation of artists' inspirations, as well as their relentless pursuit to art during the creative process.
The top star represents Antarctica, a white continent composed of 98% ice and water, emphasizing its role as a natural reserve that humanity must protect. This design resonates with the concept of a “community of shared future for mankind”, highlighting the importance of sustainable development and reminding artists to pay attention to critical international issues such as environmental protection.
Our iconic logo is more than just a design, it pays homage to the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Arts competitions, symbolizing the grandeur and sanctity of Mount Olympus. In 2016, we changed the originally used term “olympique” to “Olymp’Arts” to more accurately reflect our mission and values. This change also underscores our modern concept of “Arts Olympiads”, established according to the ancient Greek calendar and registered with the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) since 1992 (updated in 2015), while maintaining independence from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Through this renaming, we aim to clarify our relationship with the sports community and avoid any potential confusion. The IOC officially approved this name change on February 12, 2016.
The OLYMP'ARTS Founding Logo was first used during the Constituent Assembly held at UNESCO Headquarters on July 10-11, 1995. This emblem not only symbolizes the beginning of modern Olympic arts but also embodies the dreams and aspirations of countless artists. The Founding Logo holds significant historical importance, marking the start of the OLYMP'ARTS vision of “Arts connect the world” and representing the boundless anticipation for the future of Olympic arts.

The World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) is entrusted with the historic mission of promoting global artistic development. Our five main objectives are: To support artistic creation and education; To support art events and competitions; To ensure OLYMP’ARTS to be held in regularity; To cooperate with authorities and institutions to allow art to be an important part of humanity; To encourage young talents to be engaged in artistic activities and thereby contribute to the progress of humanity.
To support artistic creation
and education
Artistic creation is the core process of the art field and a significant reflection of the human spirit. We encourage all forms of artistic creation and innovation. At the same time, we are committed to enhancing the fairness and quality of art education globally, providing more learning and creative opportunities for young artists and art enthusiasts. Through collaboration with art schools, institutions, and cultural organizations, we offer scholarships, internships, and creative platforms to ensure that students and young artists can achieve positive development in the arts.
To support art events
and competitions
We value the role of art activities and events in promoting cultural exchange and artistic innovation. We not only participating and organizing various international art exhibitions and cultural festivals, but also support local art competitions to facilitate exchanges and collaboration among artists among different countries. Through these activities, artists can showcase their work, learn from one another, and further promote diversity and inclusivity in artistic creation.
To ensure OLYMP’ARTS to be held in regularity (with themes focusing on UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals)
As the core activity of the World Olymp’Arts Council, the OLYMP'ARTS event is held every 4 years and focuses on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. The event brings together artists from around the world to reinterpret the artistic competitions created in ancient Greece in 566 BC, giving this ancient cultural heritage a new modern significance. The OLYMP'ARTS is not only a platform for showcasing artistic talent but also a global celebration for all art enthusiasts. Whether professional artists, students, or the general public, everyone can find their own voice and inspiration on this stage. We hope that this event will ignite a global passion for art and promote understanding and respect among different cultures.
To cooperate with authorities and institutions to allow art to be an important part of humanity
We recognized early on that the development of Olympic arts must receive the attention and support of governments and relevant institutions around the world. Therefore, the World Olymp’Arts Council actively establishes partnerships with governments, cultural institutions, and non-governmental organizations to collaboratively promote the formulation and implementation of arts policies. As early as 1995, during the Constituent Assembly of WOAC, representatives from 68 individuals across 65 countries and regions participated and collectively signed the OLYMP'ARTS Charter. Today, we continue to establish the WOAC Alliance in even more countries and regions. We hope that through these collaborations, art will not only reflect culture but also become an essential part of social development and human life.
To encourage young talents to be engaged in artistic activities and thereby contribute to the progress of humanity
Young people represent the future of art and embody the most innovative and pioneering spirit. The World Olymp’Arts Council supports potential young artists through initiatives such Artist Residency Programs and Young Artists Support Fund, providing funding, academic guidance, exhibition platforms, and internship opportunities. We encourage young individuals to engage in artistic creation and learning, cultivating future leaders and innovators in art field. Additionally, we actively advocate for the accessibility of art education, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to engage with and participate in the arts, thus promoting the further development of human civilization.
The objectives and activities of World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) consistently reflect its essential attribute—public welfare.
Public welfare is one of the core characteristics of the Committee, as we continuously focus on important charity projects and activities that contribute to the global development of art, such as art education, support for young artists, and various artistic events. We aim to develop global fundraising initiatives to encourage more organizations and individuals to participate in art-related charity activities. The funds raised will be used to host the OLYMP’ARTS event, support global artistic events and competitions, aid the growth and development of young artists, and provide high-quality international art resources to developing countries and regions.
The OLYMP’ARTS held
every 4 years
World Olymp’Arts Council will continue to host theOLYMP’ARTS event every 4 years, making it one of the most important global events in the art world. The event will not only reinterpret the artistic competitions established in ancient Greece in 566 BC, but will also closely align with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, exploring the role of art in social responsibility, cultural diversity, and sustainable development. The OLYMP’ARTS event will attract artists and art enthusiasts from all continents, providing a platform for exchange and display, aimed at inspiring innovation and collaboration, and promoting the integration and development of global art and culture. Additionally, the event will feature multiple themed forums and workshops, inviting experts and scholars to share insights from their respective fields, fostering intellectual exchange and creative exploration within the art community.
Expand International
Cooperative Network
To achieve broader artistic collaboration, WOAC plans to expand its cooperative network globally. This includes establishing strategic partnerships with more governments, art institutions, cultural organizations, and non-governmental organizations, integrating a wider range of individuals and organizations into the WOAC Alliance. We will initiate joint art projects, cultural exchange activities, and international art festivals to promote the exchange and integration of art across diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, the committee will actively participate in global art-related conferences and forums, bringing together various stakeholders to collectively promote the diversity and innovative development of the arts.
Support Growth and Development of Young Artists
We will continue to launch a series of support programs for young artists, including maintaining the existing "Young Artist Residency Program" and "Young Artist Support Program," helping them find their position in the global art scene. These programs will cover art internships, skills training, scholarship opportunities, and exhibition chances to enhance their professional skills and industry understanding. Additionally, the committee will further establish partnerships with more top art schools and educational institutions through the WOAC Global Schools Alliance, creating a mentorship system to provide young artists with comprehensive academic and practical guidance, supporting their creative and career development. We aim to provide an open and encouraging environment for young artists, allowing them to freely express and explore, thereby fostering innovation and progress in the arts.
Establishing and Developing Art Charity Fund Programs
World Olymp’Arts Council (WOAC) will continue to actively initiate and implement arts charity fund projects, focusing on the development of arts education and young artists. Through fundraising, partnerships, and grant activities, we aim to assist talented and promising art students and young artists who are economically disadvantaged, ensuring they have access to quality arts education and training. Additionally, the committee will pay special attention to supporting arts resources in developing regions by providing teaching materials, artistic guidance, and exhibition opportunities, thereby promoting the growth and dissemination of local artistic culture. Our goal is to enable more promising young artists to receive the support they deserve and secure a place on the global arts stage.
Digitalization and Artistic Innovation
With the rapid advancement of technology, the WOAC has actively explored new development models that integrate digitalization with the arts, and will continue to do so. We plan to launch more digital art application scenarios in the near future, including virtual exhibitions, online seminars, and interactive activities. This will allow arts education and events to transcend geographical, linguistic, and distance limitations, thereby enabling broader dissemination without barriers. The application of digital technology in the arts will be comprehensive, supporting various aspects such as arts education, artistic creation, the art market, artistic innovation, and art dissemination. This will not only make the creation and dissemination of art more convenient and efficient, but will also allow for the international sharing of arts education resources to transcend the boundaries of time and space. Furthermore, we will encourage artists to incorporate new technologies into their creations, promoting the diversification and innovation of artistic forms.
Cross-fields Cooperation in the Arts
We believe that cross-field collaboration between the arts and other sectors can inspire new creativity and possibilities. The WOAC Alliance brings together numerous international organizations and cultural institutions, both artistic and non-artistic, to facilitate global collaboration in the arts across various fields. WOAC will actively promote cooperation between the arts and sectors such as technology, business, and social services. Through these partnerships, we aim to expand the application and development of the arts in a broader social context. We will organize cross-disciplinary projects that guide organizations and individuals from various fields to address pressing social issues through artistic initiatives, thereby significantly enhancing the social value of the arts.
Enhancing the OLYMP'ARTS Brand Influence
To enhance the influence of the OLYMP'ARTS brand, WOAC will develop a comprehensive branding and communication strategy. We will actively promote the values and significance of Olympic arts through diverse communication channels, including social media, traditional media, online content, and international events, aiming to expand public awareness and participation in the arts. Additionally, the committee will collaborate with other organizations and individual artists to create co-branded promotional activities, exhibitions, products and art festivals, thereby increasing brand visibility and impact, and attracting more artists and the public to engage with our activities and ideals.
Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals
Since its establishment, WOAC has expressed strong recognition of the mission and vision of UNESCO, placing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the core of its developing strategy. We are dedicated to integrating artistic creation and development with social responsibility. We advocate for environmental protection and public welfare, encouraging artists to address social issues in their work and to use art as a means of expression and solution. In addition to design our themes linked with SDGs for the OLYMP’ARTS event, we will organize global artistic events around these themes. We aim to promote socially responsible artworks, and collaborate with international institutions to advance the practical application of art in sustainable development. Our goal is to use art to foster a better society and support global sustainability.
