Support Program
Why is WOAC implementing the Young Artists Support Program?

“To encourage young talents to be engaged in artistic fields” is one of the 5 main objectives of WOAC, and “To support the growth and development of young artists” is one of the missions of WOAC Charity Foundation.

Significance
Young artists often encounter challenges in the artistic creation environment and exhibition opportunities, such as lack of funding, limited exhibition chances, inadequate professional guidance, and various other issues, particularly artists from developing regions.

It is a reality that young artists embody the future of the global art scene, with some destined to be pioneers and trailblazers. We are determined to prevent exceptionally talented artists from enduring ongoing struggles; they deserve to break free from harsh realities. This initiative serves as a selection process to identify the genuine innovators of our time.

This initiative aims to nurture future leaders and significant innovators in the art world, infusing fresh energy and vision into art's evolution, fostering sustainable growth, and ensuring long-lasting artistic impact.
Social Value
The Young Artists Support Program aims to inspire innovation and promote diversity and development in the arts.

First, by supporting artistic creation and education, we provide young artists with the necessary resources and knowledge, helping them take root in specific art field and develop their unique styles.

Second, by supporting various artistic activities and competitions, we offer young artists opportunities to showcase their work, and encourage them to engage in competition, igniting their creative passion. Additionally, the OLYMP’ARTS event serves as an important platform for artists, facilitating interaction and collaboration between different artistic cultures. Furthermore, through collaborations with governments and other institutions, such as museums, galleries, and cultural organizations, WOAC will work to secure policy support for artists from relevant authorities, to ensure that the arts remain a vital part of human life and fostering wider public interest and participation in the arts.

Finally, by encouraging young talents to engage in the arts, WOAC aims not only to support individual development, but also to advance human civilization. Through these initiatives, WOAC seeks to inject new vitality into the arts and promote the healthy development of the overall art-ecosystem.
Specific Measures
Another significant aspect of WOAC Young Artists Support Program is the economic support provided to young artists. Artistic creation often requires financial investment, including costs for materials, studio space, marketing, and exhibitions. By offering financial assistance, WOAC helps alleviate the financial burden on young artists, allowing them to focus on their creativity rather than survival issues. This support not only encourages more innovation and experimentation but also promotes the professional development of young artists, giving them opportunities to participate in a broader range of artistic activities and markets.

Moreover, financial support can enhance the market value of their artworks, helping young artists stand out in a competitive environment and ultimately driving the prosperity and sustainable development of the entire art-ecosystem. In this way, WOAC aims to lay a solid foundation for young artists' career life and promote societal recognition and appreciation of the value of art.
What is the Young Artists Support Program?

The Young Artists Support Program is a long-term charity initiative, established under the guidance of WOAC values and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It aims to identify and support promising young artists, cultivating the future leaders and significant innovators in the global art field. The program assists young artists in maximizing their artistic potential by providing funding support, exhibition opportunities, professional guidance, and international exchange.

In the meantime, the program will also promote cross-cultural communication and understanding among youth from different regions.

The significance of WOAC Young Artists Support Program can be understood by multiple levels:

Support and Development
The program aims to provide young artists with the necessary resources and platforms to help them develop their personal artistic creations. This not only aids in their self-expression but also promotes producing fresh perspectives and innovation in the art field.
Financial Assistance
The provision of financial support allows young artists to alleviate the financial burden on young artists, allowing them to focus on their creativity rather than survival issues. This is particularly important for many emerging artists who often face funding shortages.
Art Education
By offering educational and practice opportunities, the program enhances young artists' professional skills and helps them gain a deeper understanding of art, fostering both personal and professional development.
Cultural Exchange
By organizing artistic activities and competitions, the program promotes communication and collaborations among different cultures, encouraging interaction and sharing of creative experiences and inspiration among artists.
Social Recognition
By collaborating with governments and institutions, we aim to enhance societal recognition and appreciation for the arts, ensuring that art remains an essential part of human life and helping more people recognize its intrinsic value.

The significance of WOAC Young Artists Support Program will not be limited on supporting the development of young artists, it is seen as a positive contribution to the entire art-ecosystem as well. WOAC believes that this program plays a crucial role in stimulating innovation, preserving culture, and advancing social development.

How
the Young Artists Support Program operates?

Application and Selection: Artists who meet the standards for “Young Artists” recognized by WOAC must go through an application process, submitting relevant works and credentials to demonstrate their artistic potential and creative abilities. The committee will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the applications to ensure that only those truly possessing innovative spirit and influence are selected.

Methods including the following:

Long-term Financial Support
The program provides fixed financial assistance to help artists continue their sustainable development along their creative paths. Funding sources include project grants, creation subsidies, and exhibition funding. The specific amounts of funding are determined by the classification standards of the Youth Artist Support Program. The goal is to assist artists in achieving long-term artistic objectives.
Short-term Financial Support
Eligible young artists can apply for short-term funding for specific artistic projects. These funds can be used for necessary expenses related to specific creations, exhibitions, or performances, helping them quickly respond to changes and demands in the art market and inspire their creativity.
Exhibition and Performance Opportunities
Through organizing or recommendation, young artists will have the opportunity to participate in international art exhibitions, performances, or festivals. This not only increases their visibility but also provides them with a valuable platform to interact with international peers, further advancing their artistic careers.
Professional Guidance
OLYMP’ARTS provides supported artists with professional guidance and training in terms of artistic creation techniques, marketing, and international exchanges. These resources will help artists enhance their skills and broaden their artistic perspectives, enabling them to stand out in a competitive art field.
International Exchange
The program will organize international exchange projects, encouraging young artists to participate in international artistic activities or study exchange programs, which aims at expanding their perspectives and influence. This cross-border interaction will enrich their creative inspiration, and help them build a global artistic network as well.
Supervision and Management
Supported artists are required to provide proof of fund usage to WOAC Charity Foundation, ensuring that the financial assistance is fully allocated to support related artistic projects. All fund usage must comply with the standards and regulations set by the foundation, to ensure transparency and accountability, maintaining the foundation's credibility.

Innovation and Uniqueness
The WOAC attaches a strong emphasis on the innovation and uniqueness of artistic creation. This program encourages young artists to explore novel forms and concepts, challenging the boundaries of traditional art. Whether through the use of unconventional materials, the integration of multiple artistic mediums, or the expression of avant-garde ideas, artists are urged to showcase their individuality and unique perspectives. Originality will be a key criterion in the evaluation process to ensure that supported artists can open pathways for the future of world art.
Social Impact
The WOAC is attentive to the social and cultural impact of artworks, particularly those that provoke public discourse or focus on societal issues. Artists are encouraged to reflect contemporary challenges and transformations through their works, addressing themes such as environmental concerns, social justice, and identity. This extends beyond mere artistic exploration to a deeper consideration of how art can influence and transform society. Supported artists must demonstrate how their creations resonate with audiences, inspiring reflection and action.
